India clinched the Ranchi Test against England by five wickets on the fourth day. On Monday, pursuing a target of 192 runs, the team managed to secure a win despite losing five wickets. With this win, Team India leads the series 3-1, having claimed the five-match series as their own.



Dhruv Jurel sealed the victory for Team India by scoring two runs off Tom Hartley's delivery. Captain Rohit Sharma (55) and Shubman Gill (52*) contributed half-centuries in the second innings for India. Apart from them, Dhruv Jurel played an unbeaten innings of 39 runs. Gill and Jurel formed a partnership of 72 runs. From the English side, Shoaib Bashir took the most wickets, while Tom Hartley and Joe Root took one wicket each.

Team India resumed their second inning on the fourth day at 40/0. Prior to this, the English team was all out for 145 runs in the second inning during the third session of the third day. Based on a lead of 46 runs in the first inning, India was set a target of 192 runs. England scored 353 runs in their first inning, while the Indian team was all out for 307 runs.
