Virat's Interview...

Virat said in an interview after the match, 'Do not get overexcited; only two matches have been played so far. People talk about stats and achievements, but in the end, memories remain. Rahul (Dravid) also says that when you step onto the cricket field, you play with an open heart. When you play with an open heart in front of the fans and with friends, you create good memories that you want to remember even after your career ends. I am grateful for the love of the fans, these relationships, and the support of the team that I have been receiving for years.'

Virat said that he would be grateful for the support of the team and its fans for life.

Kohli said, 'I am opening, and it's my responsibility to give the team a good start as an opener, but if wickets keep falling consistently, then it's important to understand the conditions as well. You cannot afford to play bad shots and get out. The pitch wasn't that good for batting; it was difficult to score runs here. Then I realized that runs can only be scored by playing cricketing shots here. I just needed a little support from the other end, which I didn't get. Green, Maxwell, and Anuj got out in front of me, which increased my responsibility. I was disappointed that I couldn't finish the game; the ball was in my court and it should have gone beyond the boundary, but it was caught at the deep point. Still, being able to play cricket after 2 months and contribute to the team's victory wasn't that bad for me.'

Virat said, 'I know that my name is now associated with promoting T20 cricket worldwide, but I feel that I still have a lot of games left in me. I can still win matches. I play the cover drive well, but Rabada and Arshdeep won't let me play this shot easily. I have to find boundaries in front of them, so playing an inside-out shot is a better option.'

Virat said that his T20 game is still left. He can win many matches for the team.

Virat was asked about his last two months with family away from cricket. Kohli said, 'We weren't in the country; we were in a place where people didn't recognize us. With family, I lived that time openly; we were roaming on the streets like common people. I felt normal for 2 months. It was a good experience with the family. Things change completely with family, especially with two kids. You have a different connection with your older child. I am grateful to God that I could spend two months with my family.'

Virat further said, 'After the break, when I returned home and stepped onto the field, I was surprised by the roar of the fans. In the peace of the last 2 months, I had started to forget this habit completely, but coming back made me realize that this experience is also an important part of life.'

Interview, Runs, Batting,

Virat said that he felt peaceful living like a common man for two months.

Harsha Bhogle awarded Virat the Orange Cap for becoming the top run-scorer of the tournament. He also said to keep wearing this cap; it suits you. On this, Virat said, 'I am not playing for the cap, achievements, or statistics anymore. For me, this is an opportunity to perform better for RCB and then for Team India. I promise the fans that I will continue to perform like this in the future as well.'

On Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated the Punjab Kings by 4 wickets in the IPL. In this victory, Virat Kohli scored 77 runs off 49 balls. He had scored only 32 runs off 16 balls at one time, but four batsmen were out in front of him. He cautiously batted here and brought the team close to victory by scoring a fifty. Virat got out before finishing the match, and the team needed 47 runs after his wicket. Dinesh Karthik and Mahipal Lomror then formed a partnership of 48 runs and won the match for the team. Virat has scored 98 runs in his two matches and has become the top run scorer of the 17th season.

Captaincy, Family, Break, Memories

Virat took a break from cricket for two months.

This year, Virat stayed away from cricket for 2 months between January, February, and March. He went abroad with his wife and family for the birth of his second child. His son Akay was born on February 15th, about which Virat shared information on social media. During this time, he could not play the 5-match Test series against England, which India won 4-1 under Rohit Sharma's captaincy.

Virat made a comeback in the IPL against the Chennai Super Kings. In this, he could only score 21 runs off 20 balls, which led to the team facing a defeat, but with a win in the second match, RCB secured two important points in the 17th season.
