IPL 17: SRH Thrash DC With Head & McGurk Blitz


In The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunrisers Hyderabad once again managed to compile a score exceeding 250. The team posted 266 Runs for the loss of seven wickets over 20 Overs. The Delhi Capitals were bowled out for 199 runs. SRH captain Pat Cummins spectacularly caught David Warner with a flying Catch.

Both SRH's Travis Head and DC's Jack Fraser-Mcgurk hit Sixes to complete their Half-Centuries. McGurk hit three consecutive Sixes off Mayank Markande's over and was subsequently dismissed within the same over.

Key moments of the SRH vs. DC match:

1.     Head completed his Fifty with a six. Travis Head's formidable form continues in the IPL. Against the Delhi Capitals, he raced to Fifty from just 16 balls and finished with an explosive 89 From 32 Balls, including 11 Fours and 6 Sixes. Remarkably, he also completed his Fifty with a Six.

In the third over bowled by Anrich Nortje, Head hit four Boundaries from the first five balls and concluded with a six on the last ball, thus completing his Fifty in a mere 16 balls.

2.     Prithvi Shaw was dismissed after hitting four boundaries. Delhi's impactful player, Prithvi Shaw, opened with David Warner. Shaw hit four Boundaries off the first four balls from Washington Sundar. Attempting another big shot on the fifth ball, he was caught at the covers, having scored 16 runs off five balls.

3.     Pat Cummins' diving Catch SRH captain Pat Cummins sent Warner back to the pavilion with a brilliant diving Catch. On the final ball of the second over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a cross-seam delivery at a good length. Warner attempted a single, but the ball flew towards midfield, where Cummins dove forward to secure the Catch. Warner managed just one run from three balls.

4.     Fraser-McGurk's explosive batting over DC’s young batsman, Jack Fraser-McGurk, is making a name for himself in the IPL with his explosive batting. Against SRH, he quickly reached Fifty in just 15 balls. In the third over bowled by Washington Sundar, he smashed three sixes and three Fours, scoring 30 Runs and advancing his total to 35 from just 10 balls.

5.     McGurk dismissed after hitting three McGurk was Maintaining his aggressive approach after the powerplay, McGurk, along with Abhishek Porel, quickly put together a Fifty-Man Partnership in just 17 balls. However, in the seventh over bowled by Mayank Markande, he hit three successive sixes. On the last ball of the over, McGurk was caught at the point, having scored 65 Runs from 18 balls, which included 5 Fours and 7 Sixes.
