Deiveson Figueiredo defeats Cody Garbrandt by submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:02 of

Round 2 UFC 300, which kicked off with a finish as two-time flyweight titleholder Deiveson Figueiredo submitted former bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt with a rear-naked choke in the late stages of the second round.

DEIVESON FIGUEIREDO POST-FIGHT INTERVIEW | UFC 300 00:00

The bantamweights were selective with their shots in the opening round, with Garbrandt opening with a string of low kicks and Figueiredo responding in kind but with less volume. The Brazilian looked to grapple towards the end of the round and, in the second, worked quickly to secure the takedown.

Garbrandt was patient as Figueiredo worked for an arm-triangle choke, but amidst a scramble late in the second, Figueiredo secured the back and sank in the choke. That’s now consecutive victories since moving to the 135-pound ranks for “Deus da Guerra,” who looks like another threat in the talent-rich division.

Bobby Green defeats Jim Miller by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-25, 29-26).

Veteran lightweights Bobby Green and Jim Miller finally shared the Octagon after three previous failed attempts, with Green battering the only man to make the walk at each of the UFC’s landmark “Double 0” shows.

BOBBY GREEN POST-FIGHT INTERVIEW | UFC 300 00:00 / 03:30

Round 1 was competitive and close, with Miller hurting Green early and late in the frame and “King” landing the better strikes in between. The California native opened up in the second, utilizing his speed advantage to bust up Miller, continuing the onslaught in the third to widen the gap between the two, pouring it on through the final minute.

When the scores were added up, Green emerged with a unanimous decision victory, getting himself back in the win column after his 2023 campaign ended with a knockout loss. For Miller, it halts a two-fight winning streak and keeps him from earning victories at UFC 100, 200, and 300.

Jéssica Andrade defeats Marina Rodriguez by a split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28).

In the first of Saturday’s three women’s bouts pitting compatriots against one another, the power of Jessica Andrade proved to be the difference-maker in her clash with fellow Brazilian Marina Rodriguez

JÉSSICA ANDRADE POST-FIGHT INTERVIEW | UFC 300 00:00

In the opening round, Rodriguez was landing well before a slip gave Andrade the opportunity to get on top and control the action from there for the rest of the frame. She was having similar success in the second, keeping Andrade outside with long strikes, only for the former champion to rally in the final minute behind her more powerful, more impactful shots. The third was an amalgamation of the previous two, with Rodriguez starting well and controlling things before Andrade landed some heavier shots down the stretch. The judges were called upon to determine the victor, and two of the three gave the win to Andrade, who picked up her second straight win to solidify her place in the title conversation no matter how things shake out in the co-main event later in the evening.

Renato Moicano defeats Jalin Turner by TKO (strikes) at 4:11 of Round 2. Renato Moicano showed Jalin Turner what you do when you have an opponent hurt.

RENATO MOICANO POST-FIGHT INTERVIEW | UFC 300 00:00 / 04:59

In the final moments of the opening round, Turner dropped Moicano with a clean left hand down the pipe, walking away rather than chasing him to the canvas, believing he had secured a knockout win, but that wasn’t the case. The fight continued; Moicano put him on the canvas early in the second and landed a big shot late in the round that clearly hurt Turner. From there, the Brazilian veteran unleashed a torrent of blows that forced referee Herb Dean to step in and halt the action. That’s now three straight wins for

Money Moicano remains undefeated when competing at 155 pounds inside the Octagon, moving to 6-0 overall with five finishes. Just another entertaining effort from the always-exciting American Top Team representative. Diego Lopes defeats Sodiq Yusuff by TKO (strikes) at 1:29 of Round 1. Diego Lopes just keeps
