RR vs. DC Fantasy XI: Buttler-Warner Game-Changers, Samson Worth Retaining, Yashasvi or Bolt Could Be Captained

The 9th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will be played between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Jos Buttler has played many significant innings on this field.

Match Fantasy XI

Wicketkeeper

Sanju Samson could be chosen as the wicketkeeper. He played a remarkable innings of 82 runs in the previous match at the home ground.

Batsmen

Batsmen such as Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, David Warner, and Shimron Hetmyer could be selected.

• Jos Buttler has been in excellent form. He was the team's second-highest run scorer in the previous season. However, in the first match against the Lucknow Super Giants, he scored only 11 runs off nine balls. Playing as an opener on Jaipur's ground, he has played 10 matches and scored five half-centuries.
• Yashasvi Jaiswal is in top form. He was the team's top scorer in the previous season, scoring 625 runs for the team in 14 matches, including two centuries. He scored 24 runs off 12 balls in the last match.
• David Warner is third among the IPL's all-time top scorers. He was the team's top scorer with 516 runs in the previous season. This season, he scored 29 runs off 21 balls against the Punjab Kings in the first match.
• Shimron Hetmyer scored 300 runs in 14 matches last year at a strike rate of 152.28. He managed only 5 runs off 7 balls in the last match.

All-rounders

All-rounders such as Mitchell Marsh, Axar Patel, and Riyan Parag could be selected.

• Mitchell Marsh is an outstanding all-rounder. He bats at a strike rate of 135 in T20s. He also has 84 wickets in 173 T20 matches. He has taken 36 wickets in 39 IPL matches. He recently played a match-winning innings of 72 runs against New Zealand while captaining Australia. He scored 20 runs off 12 balls in the first match against the Punjab Kings this season. However, he was unsuccessful at bowling.
• Axar Patel scored 21 runs off 13 balls at a strike rate of 161.53 and had an economy rate of 6.25 in 4 overs in the first match against the Punjab Kings this season. He scored 283 runs and took 11 wickets in 14 matches last season.
• Riyan Parag scored 43 runs off 29 balls at a strike rate of 148.27 in the first match against the Punjab Kings this season. He scored runs at a strike rate of 118.18 in seven matches last season.

Bowlers

Bowlers such as Yuzvendra Chahal, Ishant Sharma, and Trent Boult could be selected.

• Yuzvendra Chahal bowled with an economy rate of 8.33 and took 1 wicket in 3 overs in the first match against the Punjab Kings this season. He took 21 wickets at an economy rate of 8.18 in 14 matches last season.
• Ishant Sharma had an economy rate of 8 and took 1 wicket in 2 overs in the first match against the Punjab Kings this season. He took 10 wickets at an economy rate of 8.24 in eight matches last season.
• Trent Boult had an economy rate of 8.75 and took 2 wickets in 4 overs in the first match against the Lucknow Super Giants last season. He took 13 wickets at an economy rate of 8.21 in 10 matches last season.

Whom should I choose as captain?

It would be beneficial to choose players from the Rajasthan Royals team as captains and vice- captains. Yashasvi Jaiswal or Trent Boult could be made captains. Sanju Samson, who scored a fifty in the first match, is also a good option.
